I know exactly how you feel! I lost my job of 12 years when I was illegally locked out of my home May 11th, and my car was repossessed on June 8th because I couldn't make the payment. I needed a home for my children and myself. Now that I am looking for a job, no one will hire me due to the fact I have an assault charge and it is considered a "violent crime". Four years ago I got into am altercation with an ex boyfriend. I decided to leave him due to his abusive behavior and he busted my windshield as I drove away. All the while my children had to witness this and I was sick of it. I called the police and when they went to arrest him he said I hit him with the car and that's why it was busted. They told him if that was true he would have pressed charges, so he did.. I did not want to face him in court so my lawyer allowed me to sign a plea bargan, not admitting guilt, but saying more than likely I knew I would be found guilty because of the severity of the charge, and it was his word against mine.
Now I am labelled a criminal and no one wants to give me a chance. So am I not suppose to ever be able to support my family again..?
What a woderful world we live in! People here are without food or shelter, but we make sure to take care of other countries! What about our own people..?
No wonder so many people are committing suicide!
Keep your head up and pray.. God WILL lead you to a Christian Landlord who will overlook your past. He will have understanding that people make mistakes, but CAN change! :)
Well where do I begin.. I am a single mother of four, I started a cleaning business but things have increasingly gotten worse. From the people I hired not performing up to standards to even stealing cleaning products from myself and even the homeowners. If that weren't bad enough, I lost more clients due to the economy (some were unable to even afford $2 an hour) and I can't even cover the cost of supplies on that. It really hurts because I really got close to some of the people I cleaned for :( I have looked everywhere for employment to no avail. At one point I even cleaned for a lady that had 3 children, which is why I continued to do it, her house was almost 8,000 sq. ft. and she only paid me $60. After gas, time, and expenses I barely broke even, if at all.. Now my car has been towed while visiting my sick grandmother for a few days & I can't afford to pay all the fees. I have also been illegally locked out of my house by a shotty rental company. My neighbor said 3 days after I left to go out of town they had a Uhaul backed up to my house taking my belongings out. In fact he took a picture on his phone of them taking my bed & mattresses on the back of the guy who cuts grass' truck (the landlord's nephew). I have found so many people who have written complaints of the way they treat people. It's not right one of the owners even attended my church. I trusted them & gave them $400 b4 I went out of town (which I have a reciept for) since they conveniently did not get my money order I sent. I don't believe in suing but I've been taken advantage of a lot & when is enough enough..? Capstone Investments need to stop treating people so poorly! PLEASE give me some advice.. i've even went to two other states to find work, but now I have no shelter for me or my children.
